Derbyshire Health United's (DHU) vision is for
an inclusive organisation that listens and responds to the needs of the public,
patients and their carers in Derbyshire. We believe our decision making will improve
by involving people on the "inside", evaluating our services and working with people,
not for them.
We have given commitments to embrace Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) within
the framework of DHU and are committed to make this happen. Derbyshire is a complex
county in terms of geography and local communities. We have developed a multi-faceted
approach to engaging with our patients and other members of the public.
DHU has a formal strategy which provides a context and direction for us to deliver
our PPI agenda. We are making contact with people in patient groups and forums and
periodically produce a newsletter, available via this site.
