About Us
Derbyshire Health United Ltd is a not for profit company serving a 1.1 million population
based throughout Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.
We were established in April 2007 by a merger between the two out of hours providers
Derbyshire Healthcare Ltd and Derby Medical Services 1995 Ltd.
Our major contracts are with Derby City Primary Care Trust (PCT), Derbyshire County
PCT and Derbyshire Constabulary. Our main services are to provide out of hours care
to patients when their own GP practice is closed by offering telephone advice and
triage, face to face consultations in a range of primary care centres stretched
across the county or by consulting with patients in their own homes. We also offer
forensic services to the police force and care for residents in 2 prisons.
Derbyshire Health United Ltd is committed to providing the highest quality of medical
care that can be delivered at the right place and at the right time. We are a flexible
company and able to rapidly adapt to the changing primary care market working closely
alongside our commissioners to adapt to their needs. As a not for profit organisation
any profit surplus generated will be reinvested in our staff and facilities so that
the patients we serve gain benefit.
